Declaration of membership in the Portal

You can become a Smart member after attending an information session and an initial individual consultation. We look forward to havingwelcoming you as part ofto our community of freelancers!

We will register you as a member as soon asonce you have completed thesethe following three formal steps:

    First, you should register
  1. Register in our Smart Portal.

First, create your account in the Smart Portal by signing up.

2. Now you can submitSubmit your declaration of membership (Beitrittserklärung)

online.

Once Pleaselogged in, submit your declaration of membership (Beitrittserklärung) online and fill in all required fields. AsIf you are joining as a private personindividual, you canmay leave out the field Company nameName / Artist name.Name field blank.

TheImportant: This declaration of membershiprefers only refers to membership ofin the cooperative. Having filledSubmitting it out does not mean that you are employed.employed by Smart.

To applycomplete forthe membership,online form, you will need theyour abovepersonal datadetails and your identity card. At the end,end of the form, you will be asked to accept the followingfollowing:

  • The privacy policy and our statutes:

    • You(you can find all data protection declarations in this Smart Guide under Contact and Data protection declarationsdeclarations).
    • YouYThe must also agree to the cooperative'cooperative’s articles of association before(which you becomemust agree to before becoming a member.member). You can find the articles of association here.
    • You also agreeConsent to receive the Smart newsletter. On average, weWe send outregular one monthly newsletternewsletters with relevantimportant information about the cooperative. The newsletters are an important means of communication with ourfor members. 

    Attention: Please remember to download, signsign, and upload the signed applicationdeclaration in the Portal. Without this stepsigned document, we cannot proceed with your membership!membership.

    3. Finally, please remember to payPay your share.

    Finally, please pay your cooperative share. This is a formal stepand thatlegal is legally requiredrequirement for admission to the cooperative. Joining the cooperativeMembership can only be completed once the moneypayment has been received.

    You can specifychoose how many shares you would likewant to buy directly in the declaration of membership. One share costs EUR€50 50— at Smart - this is a one-time payment.
